Sometimes, after rounds of observations, we may change our perspectives. During the trick-or-treating experience, Felix takes a chance to look up and observes the sky. He shares his different thought this time by saying the cloud is moving. His perception this time round is different from his previous the sun is moving but not the clouds.

As a way of understanding children’s ideas, we invite children to visualize how they perceive the movement of the rain. In this experience the children are also inspired to bring their thinking into life through sound.

Luna starts her drawing with an arch on the right side.
Jana: Luna, can you show me how the rain moves?
She starts poking the screen that resembles the raindrops shaped like a circle. As she keeps creating raindrops, she starts mimicking her own interpretation of how rain may sound like.
Luna: boop, boop, boop, boop.
Jana clarifies the purpose of the arch she has initially drawn that is indeed the clouds. As she switches the colours, she starts creating a different sound for the rain.
Luna: drop, drop, drop, drop.
She starts adding rhythm into it as if she is making music out of the raindrop sound.
