These languages (the Hundred Languages of Children) are symbolic and are open to the endless potentials in children. They believe in the potential of a child's ability to wonder. It is the belief that there are "multiple ways of seeing and multiple ways of being." http://www.reggiochildren.it/2011/09/2617/notizia-di-prova-consulenza/?lang=en Through our learning experiences, we are encouraged to depict our understanding of self and the world through various representations. Through another opportunity of a perspective drawing. we learn how to put together our understanding on various individual basic shapes onto two-dimensional multiple representations. The art of drawing solid objects on a two-dimensional surface invites us to give the right impression of the height, weight, depth, and position in relation to each other when viewed from a particular point. "In most cases, Land Art is modest and ephemeral - works created outside don't usually last long as they are subject to the elements; the wind, rain or snow that transforms them. But what remains is the pleasure of having created the work - and a photo of the creation is itself an integral part of the creative process, allowing the artist to keep proof of its momentary existence." (Pouyet, 2006) How many of us been waking up to a chorus of song birds each morning? It can be such a pleasant welcoming feeling to start a new day, can't it? When we choose to be intentional with our senses, we are working on our state of being or becoming aware of something through our senses. We have such a keen ear and are able to distinguish differences in pitch and tone as such a young age. We also seem to have an innate sense of rhythm. Of course, like with anything else, the more exposure we have and the more variety there is, the stronger our abilities become. And sometimes, when confusion arises, it's always a hilarious moment to wonder and laugh together! Adding on to the diversification of ways to communicate to the birds in their rhythmic way, we add a variety of percussion instruments such as guiros, castanets. maracas, etc. to bring us together. This learning experience, among many others, nourishes us to listen to one another and work together in a more harmonious relationship. The harmonic sounds and attention provides a sense of rhythm and tactile awareness. Kinesthetics and rhythm are two intertwined concepts that permeate our daily lives. which allows us to be more aware of how the whole system works around us. Kindest,
Children & Friends.
