As our time with Kai, Fides, and Nora draws to a close, we come up with an idea to cherish every remaining moment together. We wish we could pause time, just to hold on to this feeling of togetherness a little longer. Togetherness is more than just being in the same place. It is the feeling of connection, support, and shared moments that make time spent with others truly meaningful. As we prepare to say goodbye, we realize how strong that feeling has become. Each laugh, each conversation, and each small moment reminds us that togetherness is what made this time so special. And it is what we will carry with us long after we part ways. We scatter as many balloons on the floor and giving each participant a s To create a "collect as many balloons" game for us, we try to a timed Balloon Grab where friends gather as many balloons as possible from a pile in one minute. We scatter many balloons on the floor and giving each one of us a set time to collect and hold the most. In the Balloon Grab game, teamwork takes center stage! With two teams racing to think fast, act smart, and grab victory, everyone learns how to cooperate, strategize and have fun. Because learning works best when we do it together! We too count the number of balloons we have collected. It is a fun way to learn and keep track of our progress! Playing with balloons indeed build gross motor skills, eye-hand coordination, concentration, and so much more. A beautiful summer day, with a gentle breeze and shade from the trees, makes it perfect for our warm-up exercises. It feels so natural! We invite each of us to share a movement, a gesture from within, to guide us in flow and unity. With every jumping jack, we laugh, we move, we work our hearts and feel alive. As we explore our movements, our ideas grow more complex, and the challenges rise with them. Hopping like frogs brought a playful rhythm to our flow. Until the next surprise arrives. Kai proposes a new test of strength: push-ups with our hands forming a diamond, a shape both powerful and precise. As our muscles warm, our spirits rise, ready to embrace the rhythm of baseball practice. For early years baseball practice, we focus on short games that emphasize fun and movement to maintain engagement, using tools like foam bats, and soft balls. Along with refining our aim and precision, we organize this practice into rotating stations. Each one focuses on a different sill, keeping the energy high and the routine fresh. It is a joy to watch Luka, who takes his first turn, blend baseball with a spark of hockey, inventing a game that surprises and delights us all. Fueled by our growing excitement for the upcoming field trip to Blackie Spit at Crescent Beach, we dive into our next project. Creating dioramas to support model-based learning in the natural sciences. Dioramas, showcases in which e.g. scenes from underwater, are depicted. They serve as visualization instruments of biological relationships and are therefore important tools for the transfer of knowledge. For the understanding of scientific literacy, we learn to understand that models are an integral part of scientific ways of thinking and working. Yay! The day at the beach has arrived! When we think about the greatest gifts we can give ourselves, experiences often outweigh possessions. The laughter shared during our group adventure, the awe in our eyes as we witness world's wonders. These moments shape who we become. We are naturally curious. We are eager to absorb the world around us. Exposing us to unique experiences like rock jumping, throwing the rocks into the water to see splashes, watching seagulls cawing, pouring water onto the sand to make water stream, do not just broaden our horizons; it nurtures empathy, builds resilience, and ignites a lifelong passion for exploration. For Nora, who chooses to come closer and closer into the water this time round, today is a leap of joy indeed! For Ryan, today is a day of relaxing and joy being together with friends. These moments are more than just thrilling. They are extraordinary. When we engage with nature in meaningful ways, we cultivate respect for the environment. We learn to value ecosystems and understand the importance of protecting them. Such learning is as essential as the water we swim in, providing a framework for us when we grow up. Dear Nora, Fides, and Kai,
The days were filled with laughter, With stories, games, and cheer, Together we have learned so much, And grown throughout the year. From painting bright rainbows, To building towers so high, We shared our smiles and friendships, Beneath the classroom sky. Though now it is time to say goodbye, And step toward something new, Remember all the fun we had, Our hearts will hold it true. So here is to all the memories, And friends both near and far, Kindergarten is just the start, You are each a shining star. Kindest, Children & Friends.
